Hi Chris, yeah, I think after breaking them in you will be fine. I actually wear mine quite a lot now and they are a lot more comfortable to wear.

I’m also a US size 9 or 9.5. I got Golden Goose size 42 and it turned out to be just slightly too big, so I traded them for 41, and they are just ‘barely’ too small. Kind of sucks, but they’re awesome shoes and from what I’ve read they will have to be broken a bit

Comfortability, GG beats SL hands down, they are much easier to wear for a longer time period without causing any issues.

In terms of quality, then SL wins, the sneakers are made of a much higher standard, overall better quality. However, it is slightly unfair to compare the two, as GG are already quite distressed out of the box!

I would definitely buy just one pair and having experienced the two in person, I couldn’t help feeling that GG’s quality is better than SL! But I’m not sure which ones I’m going to purchase. Thanks.
