You’re Going To Be Okay and Here’s Proof

You’re going to be okay. I know you might not believe that right now. You might be asking yourself, “Am I going to be okay?” questioning whether or not you’ve got what it takes to get through this crazy mess. Sometimes, life throws curveballs with a sudden change-up. You can’t predict the future, which might be increasing your anxiety in the first place. And while it’s true, you don’t know how the next few moments of your life will unfold, the reality is the world has always been cyclical. So we can’t predict the future, but history often repeats itself so you can still find patterns. So if you want proof that you’re going to be okay, let’s get right into that.

Am I Going To Be Okay? Yes, You Are. Here’s Why.

1. Everything Is Temporary

In life, everything you experience is temporary. And so while that means you might lose some good or even the best things, you’ll also lose bad and the worst things. During times of loss, it can be hard to imagine the world without loved ones in it. But we came into this world knowing that it wouldn’t last. All we can do while we’re here is make the most of each moment to seize the day. So, when it feels like your world is falling apart, remember that bad days eventually turn into good days. The best isn’t behind you, you can still create wonderful moments for you, no matter how old or sick you are. The beauty of life is how short it is. And while it can be hard to let go of the world we’ve grown to love. It’s ever-changing nature is what makes it wonderful. If life, people, hardships, peace, and everything we know wasn’t temporary, we would never exist. The world wouldn’t evolve and grow. We couldn’t get better with time. And while you might be struggling with a million little things right now, it’s important to remember that it’s temporary and that’s a good thing. You’re going to be okay. Life will continue to unfold.

2. Half The Battle Is Your Attitude

If you find yourself panicking and asking, “Am I going to be okay?” you should know that it all comes down to your attitude. You have two options at how you can look at the world: optimistic or pessimistic. Both have their purposes in different scenarios. An optimistic person’s attitude typically makes them take action to create solutions. A pessimistic person’s attitude typically makes them helpless so they don’t take action. If you’ve got a long battle ahead of you, you need to switch to an optimistic attitude to help ensure that you handle your situation well – to make sure you’re going to be okay. But sometimes, pessimism is a good thing– like when we need to be realistic. So, sometimes, it’s important to know that you’re going to be okay, but maybe not tomorrow. It might not be until six months from now. You’ll need to be patient with yourself as you heal and recover but still hold out for hope of a better day. If it gives you a bit of more hope, optimistic people tend to thrive in the long-term and achieve greater success and of course, better health. 3. It’s All About How You React

There’s an old expression that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. It’s true, all of your power lies in your reaction. Say you’ve been going through a tough time and you keep getting in trouble at work. And you know your boss is on the verge of firing you. You’re raging mad, frustrated, sad, and anxious. You have more than enough going on in your life, the last thing you need is for your boss to be so misunderstanding and unsupportive. But in that situation, more than ever, you need to take action to make yourself better. To make your boss’ life easier. To make your coworkers’ lives easier. And so you can heal instead of digging a bigger hole for yourself. So you start small. Maybe you read the book suggested in the earlier section. Then, you meditate for five to twenty minutes a day using the Declutter The Mind app (which includes all meditations for free). You begin to get better with time at recognizing when the negative emotions arise so you stop blowing up at innocent people for simple mistakes. And you begin to improve your mental health again. You might read a bunch of meditation books to help you better understand how your mind works. 

4. You’re Looking for Solutions

It’s a clear sign that you’re going to be okay when you’re looking for solutions. It means you still have fight in you. And you know you’ve got fight in you. Everyone knows how strong you are. You’ve always known you can handle everything life throws your way. And I know today it might not seem like it, but you’re on the right track– even if everything’s a bit of a mess right now. There’s always multiple solutions for every problem you face. If you’re suffering a medical issue, it’s important to focus on your mindset and being optimistic. The best recoveries are made from people who follow their medical treatments with a positive attitude. If you’re overcoming a trauma, you might do cognitive behavioral therapy with a trauma counsellor or psychotherapist to ensure that you treat the trauma. It’s a slow process but it’s effective long-term. If you’re feeling depressed, you might seek counselling and read books about how to improve your thinking since it’s often our thoughts that spiral us deeper into depression. 

5. You’re Trying Your Best

It might not always seem like it, but everyone is always trying their best. You’re going to be okay. We know how hard you’re trying to juggle multiple things at once. You’re trying to stay sane in front of everyone else but deep down you might be feeling scared. You’re going to be okay. You can only do so much right now anyways. It’s all about taking those baby steps right now. Doing enough to get you through the day and night. To make tomorrow a tiny bit easier. But realistically, tomorrow might not be a better day. And that’s okay. You already knew tomorrow would be tough too. For now, just do the best you can with what you’ve got. It might seem like you don’t have a lot right now. You might’ve lost something that you wish you still had. But you’ve still got you. That little fighter you. That strong you. I can handle anything you. 

6. You Have Access To Help

Have you ever thought of how many people you’ve helped? You’ve always been so kind and generous towards others. If you find people are trying to do the same for you right now, maybe it’s a good time to let them. If you find your support system is small right now because others are struggling alongside you, it may be a good idea to get some help from a professional. Maybe you find a therapist to help improve your mental state. Maybe you turn to a doctor or health professional to work on your physical health. You could also turn to a cleaning service to help keep your home tidy as you work through your issues. There are professionals who can help you with anything from cooking you dinner to babysitting your children or pets. Never forget that there’s always someone you can turn to, even when you feel alone. Don’t worry, you’re going to be okay. 

7. This Could Be How You Grow

You know you’re going to be okay because this might very well be one of those defining life moments that helps shape the person you become. This could be the unfolding of your very own hero story. You were once a person who hit rock bottom thinking there was no way out. But you picked yourself up slowly, dusted yourself up, and rebuilt your life with help from new people, learned essential skills, and become the person you’re meant to be. You’ll use this story to inspire others and to honestly tell them, “you’re going to be okay” and you’ll mean it. That’s because you’ll have survived this story. In the future, it won’t be me giving you a pep talk, it’ll be you giving this pep talk to someone else. And today, you’re thinking “I’m not there yet.” I know. Years ago I wasn’t there either. But today I am. And one day you will be too. This is simply a part of your journey that you’re destined to go through. You will come out on top. You’re going to be okay. 

8. You Put Out Good In The World

For the most part, you aren’t an evil person. You do so much more good than bad. I mean, sure, you’re not perfect. But I know how much you beat yourself up for that. I mean, some nights you’re at war with yourself. You keep cycling back those mistakes you made, full of regret. No one in this universe has mastered the art of human perfection. We’re all flawed in one way or another. Struggling to get it right. Confusing right from wrong. But even on your worst days, you know deep down you’re trying to do more good than bad. And if you really think that you’re on the right path. What better day than today to get corrected onto the right course again. You can do acts of kindness or acts of generosity to help those in need– or those you’ve hurt. You can choose to change your whole life around at any given moment. It’s important to stay mentally healthy so that doing good is easier for you. Sometimes when we experience hardship, we unintentionally take it out on the wrong people. It’s important to choose to spend time with good people so that we don’t go down a path that isn’t really who we are. 

9. You Have A Support System

You’re going to be okay because there are so many people who love you and want you to be okay. Sometimes people show that they care by nagging, pestering, or even annoying us. So we bark back instead of caving in for that hug that we so badly need. There isn’t a single person on this planet who isn’t loved by somebody. Heck, even strangers can show deep compassion for people they’ve just met. Just think of all the nurses and doctors who’ve cared for you over the years. On dark days, when you feel alone, just remember that there’s someone out there who wants you to be okay and feel better. Don’t crave the love from people who aren’t giving it. And don’t expect love to be given in the way you want it to be received. Everyone loves differently. Let the people who love you care for you in the way they know best. You’re going to be okay if you let them take care of you.

10. You Don’t Believe In Giving Up

You keep wondering, “Am I going to be okay?” As you read through this article, there’s a part of me that can tell that you wanted to read this one because you still feel like you have a fighting chance. That’s what people love about it. You just don’t quit. You keep fighting, holding on, and thriving. You might be looking all around for the light at the end of the tunnel, scared in the pit of darkness, but you know that the light is out there, you just need to keep moving forward. You aren’t moving in the wrong direction, trust yourself. You’ve gotten through so many of life’s messes already. You know you can handle this challenge too. You’re going to be okay because you’ve never been a quitter. It’s just not who you are. This isn’t the time to give up. This is the time to take care of yourself, so you can finally get everything you want in life.

So, the good news is that you’re going to be okay. No matter what life has in store for you. Your journey can still go in a million different ways. And that decision is all up to you. It’s about holding onto all that fight you still have left to give. You’re going to need to remember that tomorrow isn’t going to be the best day of your life. It’ll still be a tough day. But with an optimistic attitude, a meditation practice, love from those who are on your side, and maybe some professional help, you can get through this rocky time in your life.
